Adapting to Change: MJBizCon Goes Virtual for 2020
Marijuana Business Daily made an unprecedented decision to cancel its flagship in-person conference, MJBizCon, for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, a five-week digital conference and trade show will kick off on Nov. 2, culminating in the main event on Dec. 2-4.
Originally planned for the Las Vegas Convention Center, MJBizCon faced logistical challenges as confirmed by Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak’s restrictions on large gatherings.
Despite the setback, MJBizDaily is transforming the event into a virtual experience, featuring over 40 speakers discussing crucial topics like the U.S. election’s impact on the marijuana industry, market analysis, cannabis investing, and advancements in science and hemp.
The digital event promises networking opportunities, product demonstrations, and keynote sessions by esteemed speakers like John Mackey, co-founder and CEO of Whole Foods Market. The shift to a virtual platform aims to engage industry professionals efficiently, offering a diverse range of content and interactive sessions over the course of five weeks, leading up to the main event in December.
MJBizDaily remains dedicated to fostering knowledge sharing, business connections, and community engagement within the cannabis industry, ensuring that despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the spirit of MJBizCon perseveres in a new, innovative format.
